Danish YouTuber Albert Dyrlund has died in an accident while filming for his channel at the age of 22.

His mother confirmed her content creator son’s death on Wednesday to Danish news outlet TV2, and asked for privacy for the family.

Vibe Jørger Jensen said that her son had fallen 200 meters (656 feet) while filming in the Italian Alps, Forcella Pana, on Wednesday 28 July.

‘We are in great grief, but I would like his fans to know,’ she told TV2, according to Newsweek.

His death has since been confirmed to the Ekstra Bladet newspaper by Denmark’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Italian broadcaster Rai, as cited by Newsweek, reported that Dyrlund had fallen from Mount Seceda in Val Gardena while working on a video, with a rescue helicopter sent to the accident site.
