Concept art for the finale of Marvel series WandaVision on Disney Plus has revealed how the final battle could have unfolded had Wanda Maximoff fought White Vision after becoming the Scarlet Witch.
In the final episode of WandaVision, White Vision, who was created after the body of Vision (Paul Bettany) was reassembled after being killed in Avengers: Infinity War, faces Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) in her fictional reality, revealing that he has no memory of his past life.
Before White Vision is able to carry out his mission to kill Wanda, the second version of Vision created by Wanda intervenes, with the two Visions squaring off in a fight of brawn and brains.
Later on, Wanda faces witch Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) in a duel, which is when she officially adopts the persona of Scarlet Witch, a powerful being prophesied in the Book of Spells.
However, a piece of concept art shared on Instagram by Anthony Francisco, Senior Visual Development Artist at Marvel Studios, has shown how Wanda could have used the full might of her power as Scarlet Witch against White Vision in a magic-fuelled clash.
In the image, which was painted using PhotoShop, Wanda is harnessing some of her red magic while in her final Scarlet Witch outfit, seemingly waiting for the right moment to strike.
The second version of Vision she created in her Hex stands by her side, his fists clenched as he watches White Vision soar in their direction.
Another figure can be seen levitating in the background, which could be the silhouette of Agatha.
Numerous WandaVision fans were beside themselves with excitement over the concept art as they reacted on social media.
‘I always thought them fighting White Vision and Agatha TOGETHER would’ve been so good,’ one person remarked on Twitter, referring to Wanda and the Hex version of Vision.
‘Omg..look at them,’ another said in awe.
While this might not have been how the scene played out in the MCU show, the face-offs between White Vision and Vision in addition to Wanda and Agatha were still truly spectacular to behold.
Wanda is set to return in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which will see Benedict Cumberbatch reprise his role as the titular character.
The ending of WandaVision left White Vision’s whereabouts open-ended, while the post-credits scene hinted that when we next see Wanda, she will be on a mission to rescue her twin sons.
WandaVision is available to watch on Disney Plus.
