Holly Willoughby was on hand on the latest episode of Take Off with Bradley Walsh to comfort a tearful winner who runs a community group focused on providing men with a space to talk openly about their feelings.

On the latest episode of Take Off, a new BBC show that sees contestants try to win a trip of a lifetime, Rob Osman from Bristol was announced as the night’s ‘priority boarder’, meaning that he had automatically won the holiday away.

Rob explained to Holly and Bradley that he wanted to work in mental health before setting up the community group Dudes & Dogs, the aim of which is to help encourage men to enjoy fresh air on a group dog walk and have open conversations with each other.

In a VT, Rob, unaware that he was going to be a part of Take Off, was greeted by his sporting heroes in the pub, cricketers Jofra Archer and Graeme Swann.

After sitting down with Jofra, Graeme and several of his friends for a drink, Rob explained the benefits of Dudes & Dogs offering men a space to talk to each other.

He recalled how when he was in his mid-twenties after the death of his father, he realised that going on walks with his dog was a really beneficial activity for him.

Several of the other guys in the group emphasised the impact Dudes & Dogs has had on them, stressing how hard Rob works to run the community.

Graeme then revealed to the absolutely gobsmacked Rob that Take Off wished to give him a luxury holiday to the Caribbean for him to enjoy with three of his friends.

As Rob started crying, the group of men raised their glasses for a toast, before the show returned to the studio where Rob was crying on the sofa next to Holly.

‘Well done you,’ Holly said as she lay a comforting hand on Rob’s shoulder.

‘It is emotional. You don’t do any of this to get any of this to get anything in return,’ the This Morning presenter said as the mental health campaigner wiped away his tears.

Bradley added that what Rob does ‘makes a big difference’ before revealing the cherry on top – that Jofra and Graeme had invited Rob to watch an England cricket match at Lords.

But the night didn’t stop there, as later Rob also managed to win an additional £5,000.

Several Take Off viewers celebrated Rob’s winnings, with one tweeting: ‘Really happy Rob won that 5k spending money. What amazing work he does.’

‘That guy’s charity Dudes and Dogs sounds fantastic. Giving men an outlet to talk about difficult things that they might be struggling with #takeoff,’ another said, while some else wrote: ‘Awe, what an amazing bloke! So well deserved.’

Take Off with Bradley & Holly returns next Saturday at 6.05pm on BBC One.
