Måneskin singer Damiano David sent fans into meltdown by revealing a dramatic transformation as the glam rock band prepare to release a new music video.

The four-piece, leather-clad group played their way into Europe’s (and Miley Cyrus’) hearts after winning Eurovision this year with their song Zitti E Buoni.

The Rome-based band are going to treat fans to a video for their song I Wanna Be Your Slave and Damiano got a makeover for the occasion and had a hair cut.

Gone were the floppy locks we saw him rocking at Eurovision this year and in its place was a short and neat style.

He showed off the new ‘do on the band’s Instagram Story as he filmed himself topless in the mirror on his phone, running a hand through his hair.

The Italian singer might not have been expecting the reaction to his style choice as fans on Twitter began to pour one out in tribute to his former look. However once they got over the initial shock, many were loving it.

Måneskin represented their country at the contest last month and triumphed with 524 points, followed by France’s Barbara Pravi and her song Voilà in second place.

However their win was mired by accusations of drug use backstage which the group was later entirely cleared of.

The band is also made up of bassist Victoria De Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi and drummer Ethan Torchio.

Måneskin found fame in 2017, coming second on the Italian version of The X Factor. Their best known song in Italy is their number one hit Torna A Casa. Their other popular tracks include Morirò da Re, Fear For Nobody and Recovery.
