After a slower start to Love Island 2021, things have been hotting up in the Spanish villa of late and the temperature is set to soar even more this week as it’s finally time for Casa Amor.
Every year Casa Amor puts relationships to the test as the Love Island contestants are split, with the boys entering a new villa full of fresh faces – and temptation – while the girls remain in the main villa with a new crew of guys to try and lure them away from their partners.
With some solid couples already formed in the villa this year – not to mention ‘Jiberty’ making it official last week – Casa Amor will make for interesting viewing this week.
What is the meaning of Casa Amor?
Although Casa Amor may seem synonymous for ‘drama’, when it comes to the show, that’s not actually it’s meaning.
In Spanish, Casa Amor means Love House, and it was likely called this since the islanders go there both to find love and have their existing love tested.
10 new arrivals are ready to enter the villa and Casa Amor this week, with five new girls and five new guys set to test the bonds that the islanders have formed during the show so far.
How long is Casa Amor on for?
In previous years, Casa Amor has lasted between three and four days.
Producers never reveal exactly how long Casa Amor will last for each year.
However, if the last few years is anything to go by, it could mean that we see the dramatic recoupling at the end of the Casa Amor stint at the end of this week.
