The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco couldn’t hide her delight as she landed her first solo Emmy Award nomination for her role in The Flight Attendant.
The beloved actress is in the running for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series for her work on the HBO Max show, which she also executive produced.
The Flight Attendant stars Kaley as an alcoholic air hostess who wakes up one morning next to a dead body with no idea what happened and the 36-year-old has been landing nominations all year as fans and critics alike recognize her work.
However, the star still couldn’t believe the moment had finally come after 30 years in the business.
Sharing videos of her reaction on Instagram, the actress was nearly in tears when her name was read out during Tuesday’s announcement.
The star – who famously played Penny for 12 seasons on TBBT – seemed shocked and voiceless, as she repeatedly said, ‘Oh my God!’

She captioned the clips: ‘First timer over here thank you @televisionacad for a moment I will never forget. 9 nods for team @flightattendantonmax. Thank you thank you to my entire flight crew!!!! Surreal.’
Fellow stars were quick to praise her achievement as Chelsea Handler wrote: ‘Kaley!!!!! Who deserves this? You, babe!’
‘You deserve all the great things. I’m so happy for you,’ her former Charmed co-star Alyssa Milano added, while Bravo star Lisa Rinna wrote: ‘SO DESERVED!!!!!!!! 🙌❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏.’

Actress Cara Santana also heaped praise on the former 8 Simple Rules star as she commented: ‘WELL DESERVED!!! Congratulations!!! Humble, talented, kind, beautiful a true star.’
At the awards, set to take place on September 19, Kaley faces competition from Aida Bryan for Shrill, Trace Ellis Ross for Black-ish, Allison Janney for Mom, and Jean Smart in Hacks.

However, the actress already feels like a winner as she took to Instagram Story to share further reactions to her nomination.
‘I’ve completely lost my voice but I think it’s important to mention actually living in the moment. I’ve never had this happen to me,’ she began. ‘You have to take a step back and enjoy this time, enjoy this moment without getting to far ahead.’

She continued: ‘I have never done this for an accolade, I’ve been doing this for 30 years because I love being an actor and so to get gifted with this nomination and this moment.
‘There are so many people involved so I’m going to enjoy it. I am so grateful, thank you so much.’
The Flight Attendant is available to stream on HBO Max in the US, and on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
The 73rd Emmy Awards will air on September 19 on CBC in the US.
