We’re already in the third week of Love Island 2021 (time flies!) and so far we have some fairly settled couples in Liberty and Jake, Chloe and Toby, and Millie and Liam.

However, things are set to be shaken up as Casa Amor is just around the corner.

Casa Amor has been responsible for some of the most dramatic scenes in the show’s history.

But when does this infamous period in the reality show begin? Here’s all you need to know.

What is Casa Amor?

Casa Amor sees the contestants in the villa separated into men and women.

The men leave the house to head to another villa, whist the women are left behind.

Each group is then joined by 10 new contestants to see if they form stronger romantic bonds with someone other than the person they’re coupled up with.

The contestants get to know the new singles over the course of a few days before making a choice whether to stick with their partner or couple up with someone new when they return to the villa.

When does Casa Amor start on Love Island?

The Casa Amor start date is yet to be confirmed by Love Island, but it usually takes place in the fourth week of the show.

This means that it’s likely it could air as soon as next week.

Love Island: Lucinda & Brad to decide who gets dumped

In June, it was confirmed that Casa Amor will be making an appearance this season.

A source told The Sun: ‘It’s the twist that makes the show and gives them some of their best scenes and ratings.

‘The episodes where half of the cast go to Casa Amor always rate really highly so producers were keen to keep it in.’

Love Island airs daily at 9pm on ITV2 and the ITV Hub.
