Ed Sheeran is loving every second of fatherhood as he confesses headlining Glastonbury doesn’t compare

Ed Sheeran says changing nappies beats headlining the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury.

Sheeran, 30, has opened up about becoming a dad after he dropped off the radar for paternity leave when his wife Cherry Seaborn, 29, gave birth to daughter Lyra Antarctica last summer.

The Thinking Out Loud singer has been holed up at their Suffolk estate since. And there is no place he’d rather be — as even his 2017 set in front of thousands at Worthy Farm doesn’t compare to fatherhood.

‘It’s a done thing to be like “it’s so amazing” but I’ve never ever ever experienced anything close to it and I never will again,’ Ed said. ‘Having a career of so many highs and lows, and achieving my dreams, this is what life is about.

‘Whenever I achieved anything big in my career I always feel, it sounds so cliché, but you feel a bit empty inside because you want it to be more than it is.’

He added: ‘You stand on stage at Glastonbury for instance and you’re like, where’s the thing? You just want more and more and more, but when you’re a parent, every day is a joy.’

And after finding happiness, he doesn’t care if people hate Bad Habits, his first single in four years. He told the Official Big Top 40: ‘I love this tune and I’ve had mixed reactions.

‘People either absolutely love it or absolutely hate it but in my mind, I’m happy they have an opinion.

‘How bad would it be if you played a song to someone and they went, “it’s alright”?’

More Guilty Pleasures…

Secrets? I’m good without, says chart star Mimi

Mimi Webb has revealed her ex-lover was chuffed when she put a positive spin on their break-up in a kiss-and-tell track.

The 21-year-old from Kent has ambushed the charts with two tunes in the top 20 — Good Without and Dumb Love.

Now, she tells GP she is not one to keep a secret.

One of her tracks was about ‘closing an old chapter’ with a former flame, Mimi confessed, adding: ‘You know when you still have things to say? So I wanted to say something.’

And she shared her ex has ‘been in contact’ — but luckily was happy with the song. ‘He was cool and commented “oh wow, you are making it really positive”,’ she said.

‘It was quite funny to be honest. He probably did make that joke about royalties.’

Webb, who studied at Brighton College, added she never fears putting personal experiences into tracks. ‘I am just a very emotional and deep person,’ she said.

‘I have no secrets and always talk about how I feel. You always have the confidence writing the song, but when it comes to releasing it you have to prepare yourself a little bit.

‘It’s always such a good reaction though and, the more vulnerable you are, the more people can relate and connect with you.

‘You’ve just got to be brave to expose yourself sometimes.’

And while TikTok has helped her to ‘insane’ streaming figures, the singer doesn’t want to be mistaken for an influencer cashing in. ‘I have put a fine line down for myself as a TikTok-er,’ Mimi said.

‘I have actually never done an advertised or pay for. All my content is super organic, just me and my family. It’s all just about my music.’

No holding Beck! Brooklyn splashes £7.5m on house

They are yet to marry or nail down steady day jobs — but that hasn’t stopped Brooklyn Beckham and his fiancée Nicola Peltz from going all in on a £7.5million ($10.5million) Hollywood mansion.

The pair won’t have had any problems getting a guarantor for a mortgage — as Posh and Becks are worth a combined £769million while actress Nicola’s dad is 79-year-old billionaire Nelson Peltz.

It seems the celebukids really wanted the pad, as they paid $1million over the asking price, TMZ reported. They will get five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms, plus a gym, sauna, steam room and pool.

Brooklyn, 22, is trying to carve a career as a photographer, while Nicola, 26, has starred in Transformers. Marking a year since they got engaged at the weekend, Brooklyn gushed: ‘She makes me a better person every day.’

Piven’s Self(ridge)-confident shock gags

Don’t give up the day job! Jeremy Piven’s attempts at stand-up in Las Vegas could go down like a lead balloon after he attacked Hollywood’s effort to be more inclusive.

In one gag, the Mr Selfridge actor said: ‘I was married to my work and then work decided to see other people. And my work is banging anyone ethnic.’

And slagging off an ex who used Botox, the Entourage star, 55, boasted that he told her: ‘Your face is a lie. I cannot tell if you are happy, if you are being waterboarded right now or died during the appetizers.’

Miley’s shock after fan’s killing

Miley Cyrus was ‘devastated’ after being told a fan was shot dead in an apparent homophobic attack.

After a friend of Gabriel, the Brazilian victim, sent her the tragic news, Miley, 28 — whose show for a Pride event was streamed on Friday — tweeted: ‘“Homophobia” would mean that the attacker had a “fear of” queer people. Which is f***ing bulls***.

This humans heart was full of HATE and ANGER.’ She said it showed the importance of fighting ‘this type of cruelty (with) love, acceptance, and FREEDOM’.
