Love Island’s Idris Virgo collapsed in a pile on the floor after falling off his chair following an interview on GB News on Sunday night.

The reality star, who appeared on the 2018 series of the ITV2 reality show, was just wrapping up a chat with presenter Guto Harri about his time on the programme when disaster struck and he suddenly plummeted to the ground.

Idris frantically waved his hands in the air to balance himself in the process, but all to no avail.

The camera quickly cut back to the studio, with Guto laughing: ‘Don’t know what happened in the end there’.

Moments after the dramatic fall, Idris took to Twitter to comment on the scenes.

‘Trust this to happen to me’, he penned, alongside crying laughing emojis.

If you’re not laughing, you’re crying, right? At least this blunder might help boost GB News’ viewing figures.

During his interview, Idris said going on Love Island was a ‘life-changing’ experience.

‘I think it’s a great programme,’ he enthused. ‘In a sense, it boosts your confidence as well, going in the villa and knowing you’re being filmed 24/7, meeting some fantastic people, obviously the sun as well.’

He added: ‘It was just fantastic and I wish I could do it again to be honest.’

The brand new series of Love Island is set to launch on Monday night with 11 new singletons heading into the Majorcan villa, which has been revamped.

The incoming instalment will welcome its first disabled contestant in Hugo Hammond, as well as a former glamour model and civil servant.
