It’s finally back after a long time away, and Love Island is set to brighten the TV schedules for the next eight weeks.
It was cancelled due to the pandemic in 2020, but it’s back on our screens and the contestants have been making themselves at home inside the villa – even if it looks like one is heading for an early exit.
The season has made history with Hugo Hammond becoming the first-ever disabled contestant to appear on the dating show after bosses said the programme would feature its most diverse line-up yet.
He’s one of 11 contestants kicking things off in their quest to find love, with all kinds of twists and turns expected along the way.
After such a long time away, fans are ready to fully invest themselves in the new episodes.
But is Love Island on every night? Here’s everything you need to know.
Is Love Island on every night?
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2. However, instalments on Saturday will consist of weekly recaps featuring unseen footage.
The first edition of Love Island: Aftersun airs on Sunday at 10pm.
Meanwhile, the islanders are already being cut, with one girl has already been dumped from the villa after Chloe Burrows was tasked with coupling up with one of the boys.
It’s the earliest a contestant has ever been dumped, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most brutal starts to a series ever – especially as single islanders are usually given a chance to steal back a partner before leaving the villa.
It’s not only coupling up that the Love Island stars need to be wary of this year, as there is thought to be a colony of vultures nesting nearby the villa.
According to reports, local environmentalists in Majorca closed off a 500-acre area surrounding the Puig Major mountain to allow the birds of prey to thrive, with members of the public being asked to avoid them where possible.
Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
