Love Island winner Paige Turley has revealed the one regret she has from her time in the villa.

The 23-year-old admitted that there was one phrase that she really wished she hadn’t uttered during the January 2020 series.

The Scottish reality star won the Winter edition of the programme alongside boyfriend Finley Tapp.

Speaking to The Sun’s TV magazine, she said: ‘The only thing I’ve ever regretted was when I said to Finn: “Pucker up, big boy.”

‘I don’t know why I used that line! When I came out, someone said it to me and I was like: “Oh, that’s a thing…”’ Paige admitted.

Despite this small regret, Paige said she ‘wouldn’t change anything’ about the series filmed out in Cape Town, South Africa.

She did, however, admit that her experience on the programme wasn’t quite what she’d expected.

‘I’d always thought you’d have a lot of time by the pool sunbathing, but we actually weren’t ever sitting about too much. We were always kept busy,’ Paige said.

‘The guys would get a barber to come in to do their hair, and we’d have girls come in to do our nails and stuff most weeks, so then you could have some downtime. And we’d get a takeaway usually once a week. One time, we got McDonald’s.’

Meanwhile, 11 singletons are headed into the villa from Monday for the new series.

Show bosses have made an effort to make sure the 2021 line-up covers the whole spectrum, including the programme’s first disabled contestant.

Love Island kicks off on Monday at 9pm on ITV2.
